We follow the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS), which sets a nationwide standard for child learning, development, and care for children from Birth to 5 years of age. Our carefully planned classrooms and curriculum covers all the key areas of learning and is specially designed to meet the needs of the individual child in an all-inclusive practice.

Your child will have a Key Person, one on the Baby/Toddler side and a new person when they transition over to the Montessori side. They will be your main point of contact and in charge of your child’s progress via the EYWORKS app which we use to track individual development. Your Key Person will guide you through your child’s day and will work hand in hand with you through milestones and achievements, ranging anywhere from weaning, toilet training, and to preparing for the transition to school.

Our guiding principle is to treat your children as developing individuals and get to know and nurture their interests. We start this from the moment they enter on their first day of settling! Communication with parents and carers, and an All About Me session with your little one before they start their settling-in means we will be well prepared to welcoming them into the nursery.

Our classrooms are all free flow and encouraging of self-exploration. We endeavour to pursue child-led curiosity and nurture their development with a range of self-chosen and planned activities. Themes, topics of interest and points of personal planning (all shared with parents, of course!) structure our day and children are encouraged to participate in daily routine and learn to carve a unique place for themselves in their little worlds. We have daily outdoor time to ensure children are active and energised too.

Parent Consultations can be arranged at any time for our little ones- we operate an open-door policy. Montessori host parents evening once a term. These are opportunities to discuss your children’s progress on a one-to-one and informal basis. We always welcome and encourage parents to share and add details of their children’s experiences outside of nursery to help develop their individual interests too.

Diaries are filled daily for Babies and Toddlers containing meals, naps, nappy changes etc- all that Baby Admin!

Our incredible team on the Baby/Toddler Side oversee all the extra-curricular activities for our tiny tots- from dancing, to wiggle and rhyme time, music time and sports activities! We hold an annual teddy bear picnic in our very loved neighbouring park, Christmas Parties and concerts, cultural celebration events and of course…. Our extremely special Graduation Ceremony when we prepare to say a Farewell to our Seniors!
